Just before their wedding it is revealed that Shabana is the daughter of a courtesan named Najma. Nawab Safdarjung and Shabana's grandmother are happy with the relationship of Yusuf and Shabana and they start arranging for their marriage. Shabana and Yusuf starts developing feeling for each other and soon learn that they are in love.
However, Khairuddin has arrived only with the intention of killing Nawab Safdarjung. He also appoints Khairuddin (Pradeep Kumar) to take care of his father. Shabana comes to live with them along with her grandmother.
Yusuf arranges a new tutor, Shabana (Leena Chandavarkar), for his nephew. Nawab Safdarjung is physically handicapped and uses a wheelchair.
